History
The Epsilon Eta Chapter of Sigma Kappa was originally organized as a local group under the name Zeta Sigma Chi. This local group was organized at Findlay College on March 13, 1963.
The Zeta Sigma Chis became the first of three local groups at Findlay College to become associated with a national sorority. One day short of its four year anniversary, the Zeta Sigma Chis became the newest chapter of Sigma Kappa Sorority through sponsorship from the Toledo Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Kappa.
The first pledging ceremony of the Epsilon Eta Chapter was held on March 12, 1965. The Sigma Kappa National Director of Extension, Mrs. Monroe Dreyfus, conducted the ceremony and was assisted by many members of the Toledo Alumnae Chapter.
Installation of the Epsilon Eta Chapter was set for May 22-23, 1965. Activities included a formal banquet at the Imperial House, a model meeting, attendance at church services at the College First Church of God and a tea party in the lounge of the Union.
